Students from UofT are keen on getting hands on experience in the Biotech industry. These Genetics stream students are well versed with all the latest tools of gene and genome editing and some double major in Statistics or Neuroscience. There is no strict limit on the group size, it could also be individual students or groups of students. In addition, it could be a summer project that involves more hours.

Project Examples

Any tools and techniques that they can learn and then carry out independently or within a group. It can include drug screening, transgenics, cell, tissue and organoid cultures, gene cloning, gene editing, genetic engineering. Most beneficial is the exposure to the work environment and the insights gained from working within a biotech startup.
