Are you looking for students to work on a data analytics project, related to your business?

Our students from the University of Saskatchewan are looking to complete a quantitative analysis of any aspect of your business, and provide you with insights and recommendations derived from your company's data.

Students are trained in Business Analytics, and have developed skills and tools for analysing the complexities of today’s competitive business environment to inform management decisions.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

The exact deliverable will depend on your company's outlined problem.

Students will create a report and a high level presentation of their work findings. The top student groups will get to present their findings either in an online presentation or as a pre-recorded videos.

Project Examples

Requirements

Student skill include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Data extraction from different data sources, including databases and other data analysis software.
  2. Data preparation including cleansing, reorganizing, and manipulating data (using, for example, R).
  3. Explorative data analysis and data visualization to discover patterns associated with products, business processes, services, customers, and the external environment (using, for example, Tableau and R).
  4. Model-based data analysis, including classification, clustering, and association to support decision making.

Students are able work on either some or all of the aspects as outlined above. This will depend on your company's needs/the scope of the project.
