Collaborating with Tracking Child Abuse, Trauma, and Self-Harm in the Medical Field through Kids At Risk Action (KARA) during the Leadership in Practice - WEL440 course has been both educational and transformative. The team at KARA brought unparalleled expertise and passion to every interaction, making this experience a standout opportunity for growth and learning. KARA’s leadership approach was particularly impactful. They modeled how to address sensitive and urgent issues with professionalism and empathy, creating a supportive environment that encouraged open dialogue. Through workshops, discussions, and real-world case studies, they deepened our understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable children while equipping us with actionable strategies to support their well-being. One of the key highlights of this collaboration was the emphasis on practical application.
