Details

The main goal of the project is to develop drones with a versatility to be upgraded for higher weight class eventually.

At the end of the project students would have analyzed market friendly drone designs, performed design trade-offs and prototyped the best 2 options adjudged with a panel of experts from the company.

We intend to develop the product based on the prototype provided.

Deliverables

1. Evaluate existing processes involved in the development of the drone.

2. Visualize the various steps through simulations and first calculations.

3. Investigate purchase sources for the drone.

4. Design the 3D model, PCB and control system on software.

5. Fabricate using 3D printing.

6. Develop image processing and control software, test electronics and software together.

7. Fly the drone prototype in various environmental conditions.

8. Provide engineering and scientific findings

Mentorship

1. Providing design, analysis and modelling software wherever required

2. Providing subject matter expertise

3. Providing support staff in case of any queries on the approach forward.

4. Guidance on Systems Engineering approach towards realization of the prototype.
