We are interested in learners who can analyze our datasets related to customer returns, operational logistics, and financial metrics. Your analysis will aim to:

  1. Enhance Operational Efficiency: Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in our return logistics and recommend improvements.
  2. Boost Customer Experience: Analyze customer behavior and feedback to reduce return rates and increase overall satisfaction.
  3. Optimize Financial Strategy: Evaluate the financial impact of returns on our business, helping us manage costs and increase profitability more effectively.

Tasks for Learners to Achieve Project Goals

To achieve the primary objectives of enhancing ReturnPal's operational efficiency, customer experience, and financial performance, learners are expected to complete the following tasks:

  1. Data Aggregation:
  • Collect data from our internal databases, customer feedback surveys, and financial spreadsheets.
  1. Data Cleaning and Pre-processing:
  • Remove duplicates, resolve inconsistencies, and fill in or handle missing values to prepare the data for analysis.
  1. Spreadsheet Analysis:
  • Perform basic yet thorough data analysis using spreadsheets to uncover preliminary patterns and trends. Use formulas, pivot tables, and functions to calculate key performance indicators like revenue growth, churn rate, and average transaction value.
  1. SQL Queries for Insights:
  • Use SQL to perform more complex, descriptive, and diagnostic analysis. Investigate seasonal trends, high return rate products, and customer segmentation.
  1. Statistical Modeling:
  • Apply statistical techniques like regression analysis to understand the impact of various factors on customer returns and logistic costs. Use classification models to predict future customer behaviors.
  1. Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA):
  • Use Python libraries for data visualization such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly to conduct an EDA, uncovering relationships between multiple variables.
  1. Advanced Metrics Calculation:
