Details

We want students with an interest in Data Analysis to join our team to help us with our Data Collection. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.

BEBC is a black-led organization representing Black businesses in Canada. We are providing a unified platform for advocating and supporting Black entrepreneurs and businesses in Canada. In addition to advocacy, we help facilitate access to financing (Federal, Provincial, and Local) and provide advisory and mentorship services to our members.

Our goal is to help Black businesses grow, scale up and become sustainable.

The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about community building and has experience with Data Collection and Analysis.


Deliverables

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:

  • Be able to gather and organize data entry
  • Great with excel
  • Assist the data collection leads to support their work and help meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Supporting the data team with gather Black-serving organizations and business data locally and nationally for data gathering
  • Liaising with businesses and entrepreneurs to identify gaps in business needs
  • Open to learning new things and growing their data-gathering knowledge.
  • Participating in teams meeting and providing progress reports.


Mentorship

Students will work closely with the primary project manager and Project leads, who are supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
