We would like to collaborate with students to complete grant applications.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

• Familiarizing themselves with company documents and background information
• Reviewing previously awarded grant applications
• Reading grant application guides and tailoring applications to them
• Writing grant applications and revising them based on several rounds of feedback

By the end of the project, students should have submitted a minimum of 2 grant applications each either for Veras or one of our clients and demonstrated the following:

• Understanding of our organization’s values and purpose
• Identification of potential sponsors and funding sources
• Business writing skills

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

• Our mission and vision statement
• Our community projects and previous grant applications
• Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
