The Human Factor Community Organization is a not-for-profit which aims to elevate the status of humankind through programs, services, consulting community partners, and, where appropriate, advocacy in order to increase the health and well-being of the whole human and the communities where we live, play, and work.


We are seeking a student who can help us create a first draft of a strategic plan for The Human Factor Community Organization. We have some components completed such as vision, mission, value statement, and goals.


Where do you come in?

We are looking to work with a student who is able to organize the current information, collect statistics relevant to our goals, and develop our goals into actionable items with defined deadlines (these action items will be provided in point form to the student). As well as other components as below.


The completed project should be presented in a way that, once edited, is ready to present to the board of directors, community members, and stakeholders. The project will be completed with the following components:

  1. An attractive cover page and consecutive page design
  2. Visuals relevant to the written content
  3. An executive summary
  4. History of the organization
  5. Vision
  6. Mission
  7. Value Statements
  8. Goals of the organization for the next two years which will include: statements to explain our goals, actionable items to make our goals a reality, a timebound commitments
  9. Who the board of directors currently are
  10. Contact, social media, and websites
  11. Current and proposed programs along with descriptions
  12. Who are our clients
  13. Who are our potential partners in the community
  14. Who are our potential funders and supporters
  15. Projected operational budget (core operation)
  16. Marketing budget and plan
  17. Volunteer plan and budget
  18. Include any previous developed budgets for programming
  19. A fundraising plan and budget.


Upon completion of the 80 hours the student will have gathered, created and put all the above components into an attractive package that can be presented to interested parties.

Mentorship

The chairperson of the board will work closely with the learner, providing a minimum of 5 hours of guidance per week. The learner will utilize any resources available from the organization to complete their tasks
