Headquartered in Vancouver, Trulioo is a fintech startup that specializes in identity verification for AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance. Our flagship solution, GlobalGateway, is a platform that provides businesses with secure access to over 200 independent data sources globally to perform real-time identity checks - domestically and across borders. GlobalGateway helps businesses streamline their customer onboarding process while complying with diverse AML and KYC requirements around the world. Currently, Trulioo has an integrated digital marketing strategy that incorporates PR, SEO, website optimization, social media, content development, and email marketing. We have an active presence on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Google+. Additional less frequent activities include Pinterest and YouTube. The primary goal is to generate sales leads, and secondary is to drive awareness and position the company as thought leaders in the fintech, identity and regtech sectors.

A successful project is one that provides insightful comments and suggestions on how our current strategy can be improved while offering a fresh injection of new ideas and tactics. These ideas, while potentially fresh and new, should take into consideration the appropriateness and alignment with our branding and style and require minimal cost to implement. We do not have a marketing budget for PPC or advertising campaigns. Recommendations should be SMART: S - specific, significant, stretching M - measurable, meaningful, motivational A - agreed upon, attainable, achievable,acceptable, action-oriented R - realistic, relevant, reasonable,rewarding, results-oriented T - time-based, time-bound, timely, tangible,trackable

Add Skills: Students with skills in design is an asset as well as knowledge of the Fintech and RegTech sector. They should be interested in the newest things in tech, whatÂ’s trending on the internet, and an understanding of startup culture.

Led by a serial Canadian entrepreneur, Trulioo is a leading fintech startup with an award-winning solution that is being uses by top brands such as Amazon, Stripe, PayPal, and American Express - not to mention local fintech startups like RentMoola, nTrust and Koho. With a strong social media presence, blog, and SEO strategy, Trulioo offers a perfect “sandbox” for students to work with. As a startup, our team is always open to exploring fresh, out-of-the box ideas and trying new things.


The group of student-consultants spends +100 hours working on your digital marketing strategies. They will submit the Digital Marketing Audit in March and then the Digital Marketing Plan at the end of April. While the student-consultants will provide strategies around SEO, Social Media, Analytics, etc., they will not implement the campaigns.
