The primary objective of this project is to devise a comprehensive marketing plan aimed at expanding our presence and client base within the agtech sector. We seek to identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance our market share and visibility, leveraging innovative marketing strategies that resonate with the unique needs and challenges of the agricultural technology industry.

This project will involve several critical steps for the intern, including:

  • Conducting market research to understand the agtech landscape, including key players, emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis.
  • Identifying target audiences within the agtech sector and developing personas based on their specific characteristics, preferences, and pain points.
  • Crafting a value proposition that clearly articulates how our offerings meet the unique needs of the agtech market.
  • Developing a multi-channel marketing strategy tailored to the agtech sector, encompassing digital, social media, events, and direct outreach.
  • Proposing metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the marketing plan.

Bonus steps in the process might also include:

  • Creating a content marketing strategy with a focus on thought leadership to establish our brand as an authority in the agtech space.
  • Suggesting partnerships or collaborations with other companies or organizations within the agtech ecosystem.


Deliverables

By the end of the project, interns should accomplish the following:

  • Completed a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) for our company in the context of the agtech sector.
  • Developed detailed buyer personas representing our target customers within the agtech industry.
  • Created a comprehensive marketing plan, including objectives, strategies, channels, tactics, and metrics for success.
  • Bonus tasks might include:Developing a content calendar outlining key themes, topics, and distribution channels tailored to the agtech audience.
  • Identifying potential industry events, conferences, or trade shows where our company could increase its visibility.

Final deliverables should include:

  • A detailed marketing plan document outlining the research, strategy, implementation plan, and measurement approach.
  • A presentation summarizing the key components of the marketing plan, ready to be shared with company stakeholders.

Interns will receive direct mentorship and support throughout their project, including:

  • Guidance from experienced marketing professionals with expertise in the agtech sector and B2B marketing strategies.
