user interface (ui)The main goal for the project is to upgrade the project's website to improve user experience, accessibility, and functionality. The upgraded website should also showcase the company's work in African countries and promote literacy in elementary schools. This will involve several different steps for the project team, including:
- Analyzing the current website's user interface and functionality.
- Developing a new website design that is user-friendly and accessible.
- Incorporating OER content and professional development courses onto the website.
- Testing the new website for functionality and user experience.
- Implementing the upgraded website on an open source platform.
By the end of the project, the team should complete the following tasks:
- A new website design that is user-friendly, accessible, and showcases the company's work in African countries.
- Incorporation of OER content and professional development courses onto the website.
- Testing and implementation of the upgraded website on Wordpress.
Final deliverables should include:
- The source code and design files for the new website.
- A report detailing the design process, testing results, and implementation steps.
We have a large group of educational technology professional volunteering for this project who will provide feedback, references, and leads to paid work.

This project will bring what we've learned working with African schools to North American schools.
Open Educational Resource (OER) Curation, Creation, and Professional Development. The current focus is leading teams in African countries (Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya) that promote literacy in elementary schools by:
1. Creating, curating, and sourcing OER content that meets the needs of elementary students aligned to standards. A special emphasis is on incorporating materials edited and adapted for and translated into the local languages in addition to the use of English language materials.
2. Implementing the OER content on open-source MoodleBox software on a portable server that does not require internet access.
3. Creating professional development courses for teachers to support their implementation of the OER curriculum. These Professional Development courses are conducted on an open-source Moodle system; the courses are openly licensed and will be shared via Moodle.Net.
