The aim of the Employment Equity Data Analysis and Visualization project is to identify and analyze employment disparities among marginalized groups in Canada. The project will involve sourcing relevant data, statistical analysis, and data visualization to generate actionable insights and recommendations for promoting employment equity.


Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:


  • Understanding of relevant employment equity data sources.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify disparities.
  • Ability to create data visualizations to illustrate disparities.
  • Ability to generate actionable insights and recommendations for promoting employment equity.


Final deliverables should include:


  • All source code.
  • A written report explaining the data analysis and visualization process and outcomes.
  • A presentation outlining the project findings and recommendations.


Mentorship

To support students, the project will offer a structured framework for data analysis, step-by-step guidelines, and evaluation criteria. Students will also have access to mentorship for technical and interpretive guidance. The goal is to equip them with the skills needed to conduct meaningful research on employment equity.
