Details

We are currently in the process of growing our grassroots collective, and rebranding from Womxn Offering Wisdom to the South Asian & Tamil Women's Collective. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization, and be provided growth and development opportunities.

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:

- create content and posts for social media (Instagram and Twitter) to engage with followers to increase awareness of our initiatives, community research, issues, and needs

Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use to promote our programming and initiatives. Creating template designs with colour schemes for our mentorship program, leadership program, and leading while brown series, and conference.

If you like the sound of our culture and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.

A student or team with excellent writing and video skills, flexibility, open to learning and growing, and creative energy would be the ideal candidate for this project.

Mentorship

The South Asian and Tamil Women Collective has approximately 20 volunteer members that provide spaces for intergenerational learning and relationship building. We have designated project teams, and team leads helping guide, mentor and support volunteers from diverse sectors and lived experience. Students will be provided guidance and mentorship from the Social Media Team lead and Managing Director to grow and learn new skills, build experience working with an intergenerational team and collective community, and opportunities to participate in personal/professional development.
