The main goal for the project is to update the 9-year-old website of 171 Electric Bike Company Inc. and maximize its SEO to attract and retain today's clients. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:


- Analyzing the current website design and functionality to identify areas for improvement.


-website needs to appeal to women, tall people and first responders;


- Updating the website using Shopify to ensure a modern and appealing look for today's clients.


- Implementing SEO best practices to improve the website's search engine ranking and visibility.


- Ensuring the website is user-friendly and optimized for mobile devices.


- Integrating informative content about the company's philosophy and products to educate consumers.


Deliverables


By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:


- Updated and modernized website using Shopify with improved design and functionality.


- Implemented SEO best practices to maximize the website's visibility and ranking.


- Ensured the website is user-friendly and optimized for mobile devices.


- Integrated informative content about the company's philosophy (Touch Green) and products to educate consumers. "Buy it Once - Ride it for Life"


Final deliverables should include:


- A detailed report outlining the updates and optimizations made to the website.


- A presentation showcasing the improvements and their impact on the website's performance and user experience.

Mentorship

We value the students time, and prefer if the student sets the schedule for meetings as we are quite flexible at our end.


Time zones are not a matter we have worked with students from the West Coast PST time and England BST time - like I said we are flexible.


We would need to meet via a zoom call first or Microsoft teams, then we would determine together the schedule.


We are always available, and can meet via zoom, in person(if local) or text if its something simple.

The electric bike industry is the wild west where over 90% of imported ebikes are rebranded. Meaning you do not know the manufacturer which is important for the longevity of the product. Currently average ebike life is less than 500 hours and they cannot be repaired and end up in the landfill. That is why 171 Electric Bike Company was formed to do 2 things. Educate the consumer, and keep our ebikes out of the landfill. Our Company philosophy is 'Touch Green' our motto is 'Buy it once - Ride it for life"
