The primary goal for this role is to lead and oversee the implementation of three key circular economy initiatives within our Reuse Centre: Free Store, Borrowing Centre, and Repair CafΓ©. These initiatives aim to eliminate wasteful practices, promote the principles of the circular economy, and contribute to a more sustainable and resource-efficient future. Additionally, the role involves marketing and organizing events to enhance awareness and participation in these initiatives.

Deliverables
  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of Free Store, Borrowing Centre, and Repair CafΓ© initiatives.
  • Organize educational events, workshops, and campaigns related to circular economy practices
  • Engage with the community and local partners to raise awareness about the circular economy initiatives and foster collaboration
  • Develop marketing and promotional materials to communicate the benefits and objectives of the initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory and resource distribution in the Free Store and the Borrowing Centre, promoting efficient resource use
  • Develop and deliver educational programs on reuse and repair as part of the Reuse Centre
  • Collect data on the impact of the initiatives, such as waste reduction and community engagement metrics
  • Prepare regular reports to track progress and measure the success of the circular economy initiatives


Mentorship

We offer training with staff and members. Our staff is dedicated to spending time mentoring students one on one and in groups. We also have training videos and written material to aid students.
