The tool should centralize all application logs, making it easier to monitor, access, and retain logs for up to 31 days. Additionally, the project aims to potentially add a dashboard/analysis component and/or alerts on the company's Slack channel for unexpected errors.
Tasks for learners to complete:
- Research and understand the existing log management and analysis tools available, such as Loki+Grafana.
- Develop a plan for implementing the selected tool, considering factors like self-hosting preference and cloud options.
- Configure the tool to collect logs from various client projects deployed in different environments.
- Ensure the tool retains logs for up to 31 days and allows easy access for monitoring and analysis.
- Optionally, design and implement a dashboard/analysis component and set up alerts for unexpected errors on the company's Slack channel.
Final deliverables:
- A detailed implementation plan for the selected log management and analysis tool.
- Configured tool that successfully centralizes logs from client projects and retains them for the specified duration.
- If time permits, a dashboard/analysis component and/or alerts set up on the company's Slack channel.
-The student will report to Maxime, co-founder of Connect It, for guidance, feedback, and questions.
