Details

Our organization is committed to serving our target population. However, we are currently facing funding challenges.

We would like to collaborate with students to plan a fundraising event to help meet our goals.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Familiarizing themselves with our mission, values and goals.
  • Estimating and establishing the budget of the fundraising event.
  • Creating a plan of action and a detailed list of organizations to approach for sponsorship.
  • Assisting in contacting organizations for sponsorship either by telephone or email.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Recommending improvements for future fundraising of events.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of our mission, values and goals
  • Establishment of the event budget
  • Creation of a plan of action

Bonus steps would include:

  • Recommending areas of improvement for future events

Final deliverables should include

  • List of organizations for sponsorships
  • At least one organization committed to sponsorship.
