The goal of this project is to create a nutritional focused consumer campaign featuring gourmet mushrooms targeting one or more demographic personas that incorporate the Four Star Mushrooms brand and values. The target personas include vegan/vegetarian, foodie, health conscious, senior citizen, and corporate food service. The campaign should include health and dietary benefits for individual mushroom varieties (i.e. lion's mane, oyster, etc.) citing evidence based research (when possible) or noted otherwise. The content would be used on the website, social media channels (developed campaigns) and as individual product information.


Deliverables

The tasks that learners need to complete to achieve the project goal include:


- Researching the health and dietary benefits of individual mushroom varieties.


- Developing a nutritional focused consumer campaign featuring gourmet mushrooms.


- Create/suggest content/placement/strategy for the website, social media channels, and individual product information.


- Incorporating the Four Star Mushrooms brand and values into the campaign.


- Targeting one or more demographic personas with the campaign.


Mentorship

We have a full time mentor/advisor who is a 3x entrepreneur, who would lead student teams. He has successfully worked with one Riipen team who just completed a UIUX website review and those changes are under development now.

Four Star Mushrooms (established 2019), is a controlled environment agriculture (CEA) company growing seven types of gourmet mushrooms in a high tech facility in the heart of Chicago. Primary customers are restaurants/chefs, catering, corporate food service and secondarily are grocers and specialty retail. Consumers will be an added focus this year. The brand is highly recognized in Chicago, which should be expanded and to serve as a foundation for an eventual consumer strategy. If you've seen the hit show "The Bear", you've seen Four Star Mushrooms. The founder's vision as a CEA is to create a more sustainable food system - locally.
