The goal of this project is to write grants for The Inclusivity Institute for Better Data (IIBD) and its associated projects. This will involve researching potential grant opportunities, writing grant applications, and submitting them to the appropriate organizations. The grants should be tailored to the specific needs of IIBD and its associated projects, and should focus on the core values of inclusivity, equity, and diversity.


Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:


  • Understanding of IIBD's core values and mission.
  • Knowledge of potential grant opportunities and organizations.
  • Ability to write effective grant applications.
  • Ability to submit grant applications to the appropriate organizations.



Final deliverables should include:


  • All grant applications.
  • A written report summarizing the grant writing process and outcomes.


Mentorship

Weekly Check-Ins

Each intern will be assigned a mentor from IIBD’s core team who will meet with them on a weekly basis to review progress, discuss challenges, and offer strategic guidance.


Skill-Building Workshops

Interns will have access to regular workshops on advanced statistical analyses, stakeholder engagement, and other key aspects of grant writing in a data-driven context.


Peer Reviews

An internal system will be established for peer reviews of grant proposals to facilitate constructive feedback and continuous improvement.


Resource Availability

Interns will have access to IIBD’s comprehensive data repositories, cutting-edge analytics tools, and academic journals for effective project development.


Emotional and Psychological Support

A dedicated HR consultant will be available for discussions on navigating the emotional intricacies tied to advocacy work, ensuring mental well-being.


Networking Opportunities

Interns will be invited to exclusive webinars, conferences, and talks to network with professionals in the field, thereby opening doors for future opportunities.
