- Business development/sales role for custom software projects: Focus on acquiring new clients for custom software products, finding proposal opportunities, and applying for grants.
- Creating business plans & pitch decks for consumer software products: Dive into market analysis, financial projections, and strategic planning.
Tasks:
Business development/sales role:
- Identify potential clients interested in custom software.
- Scout for proposal opportunities.
- Explore grant applications.
Creating business plans:
- Conduct market analysis (competitors, etc.)
- Explore potential revenue streams
- Formulate strategic plans.
Business development/sales role:
- Learn about company software development capabilities at a high level with the company's CTO
- Find and cold-contact potential clients interested in custom software.
- Scout for proposal opportunities.
- Explore and complete grant applications.
Creating business plans:
- Evaluate projects at a very-high-level working alongside the company's CTO
- Conduct market analysis (competitors, etc.)
- Explore potential revenue streams
- Formulate strategic plans.
- Research and plan potentials for growth, finances, and a competitive analysis
- Create a PowerPoint pitch deck
- Create a short Business Plan
Students will be directly supervised by the company's CTO who will hold regular biweekly meetings. As a mentor, the CTO will be available to students when needed to offer support for their current tasks and guide future work for the project. Communication will be open through messaging platforms.
