Main Project Objective:

  • The main objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive cybersecurity framework that ensures Agora Tutoring meets critical data protection regulations and implements robust identity and access management practices. By the end of the project, students are expected to have designed and potentially prototyped solutions that align with industry standards and legal requirements, enhancing the security posture of the platform while fostering trust among its users.

Specific Goals:

Regulatory Compliance Enhancement:

  • Problem: Agora Tutoring needs to ensure that its operations comply with data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. The platform must handle personal and sensitive information with the highest standards of privacy and security.
  • Outcome: Students will create a compliance roadmap and detailed action plan that includes policy development, technological adjustments, and compliance verification mechanisms to meet specific regulatory requirements.

Identity and Access Management System Development:

  • Problem: The current identity and access management (IAM) practices at Agora Tutoring may not sufficiently protect against unauthorized access or internal data breaches. There is a need to reinforce these systems to safeguard user data.
  • Outcome: Students will design an IAM framework that incorporates multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls, and regular audit capabilities. The project should result in a prototype or a detailed design that can be implemented to enhance data security.
