We are looking to develop a competitive analysis for some new products we are looking to go to market with. This project would require someone to gain a high-level understanding of the product, conduct the competitive analysis and compile the results.
KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET:
The below steps and requirements need to be completed for the following products:
- Cable Internet
- DSL Internet
- Fibre Internet
Required Analysis:
- Research a minimum of 3 key competitors in the industry that specializes in the product
- Compile key competencies and advantages as well as pricing of the product. Identify keywords most often used by web browsers. Make contact (if required) with the competitors to obtain pricing information. This may include being a “mystery shopper”.
- Assemble data obtained into an easily digestible format (tables, charts, graphs, etc).
- Present report and findings.
Each Product will require being updated in internal documentation systems, auditing of data and pricing across multiple platforms and utilizing internal tools to understand how these new Products should be related internally.
IDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES/RÔLES/RESPONSABILITÉS:*
- Great working knowledge of excel with the ability to create pivot tables, run vlookup, if statements and other key functions
- Knowledge in Marketing and/or Adwords / search engines is an asset
- Ability to easily pick up small changes in a given data set
- Strong research and analytical skills
FINAL PROJECT DELIVERABLES/LIVRABLES DU PROJET:
- Fully completed and drafted Market Research presentation for each Product
- System alignment for pricing and tooling
