usability testing user experience (ux) web design brand identitydadpad is in the early stages of establishing its online presence using the Shopify platform. While this serves as a solid foundation, the company anticipates the need for a more interactive and user-friendly design as it scales. The current setup lacks the capability for seamless interaction with shared designs, which is crucial for future growth. The goal of this project is to enhance the Shopify store's user experience by integrating features that allow for easier navigation and interaction with shared designs. This will involve researching best practices in e-commerce design, understanding user needs, and implementing solutions that align with dadpad's brand identity. The project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their knowledge of web design, user experience, and e-commerce platforms.
The project deliverables include a detailed report outlining proposed design enhancements, a prototype of the improved Shopify store interface, and a presentation demonstrating the new features. Additionally, learners will provide documentation on the implementation process and user testing results. These deliverables will ensure dadpad has a clear path forward for scaling its online presence effectively.

About the company
dadpad is a new company born from wanting comfort. The companies founders both met watching there kids play hockey in an arena. Both founders come to learn they both have had devastating accidents leaving them both with many injuries. Due to this, they both stand and don't sit very much. The problem: leaning on cold rails in rinks, or on fences to watch outdoor sports it gets uncomfortable. So, dadpad was born, it started with a pool noodle but now we are using NBR foam and athletic knit fabric, we initially had no clue that it would become what it has today. dadpad has 3 patents in North America, and currently patent pending internationally. The original thought was just for comfort, but now it has become about team support, phone holder, and a drink holder to make every rail as comfortable as a seat. Also the other opportunity is in advertising, anywhere there is a rail, fence, post, etc. We are currently looking to launch in Jan 2025 as word of mouth.
