At EverythingCloud, we specialize in cloud cost optimization, empowering businesses to maximize efficiency and reduce expenses. This project focuses on reviewing customer cloud environments using EverythingCloud’s SaaS platform and read-only access to client accounts. Learners will analyze real-world cloud setups, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations, ranging from quick fixes to architectural changes that drive better performance and cost-effectiveness.


Learners will develop expertise in cloud cost analysis, environment optimization, and solution design, directly influencing the operational success of EverythingCloud’s clients.

Deliverables

1. Customer Environment Analysis:

  • Use EverythingCloud’s SaaS platform to perform detailed reviews of customer cloud environments.
  • Analyze data on resource usage, costs, and performance trends to identify inefficiencies.
  • Utilize read-only access to inspect configurations, policies, and architectures for deeper insights.


2. Recommendations for Quick Fixes:

  • Identify and document immediate actions customers can take to optimize costs and performance (e.g., resource rightsizing, idle resource cleanup).
  • Prioritize quick wins to deliver measurable improvements with minimal effort.


3. Architectural Improvement Proposals:

  • Provide recommendations for medium- and long-term architectural changes to enhance scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Suggest modern best practices, such as transitioning to serverless architectures, optimizing storage tiers, or adopting multi-cloud strategies.


4. SaaS Platform Reporting Enhancements:

  • Generate customized reports using the SaaS platform to present findings and recommendations to customers.
  • Highlight key metrics, potential savings, and the impact of proposed changes in a clear and actionable format.


5. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Create customer-facing documentation summarizing findings, recommendations, and implementation steps.
  • Provide internal documentation outlining analysis techniques, tools used, and recommended workflows for future reviews.
