No skills listedyconic is the most trusted source of information, resources and scholarship opportunities for Canadian college and university students. We want to expand Campus Guides, a project to help students at schools across the country find the right school - or the right place to live, get a cheap coffee, or hang out with friends between classes. If you’re thinking about it, so are a lot of other students - and they want to hear what you have to say. We need on-campus experts (or campus guides) to write helpful, relevant content on all things related to navigating the post-secondary experience. If you’re a current Canadian college or university student who can put together engaging and informative content, you’re who we’re looking for. Come flex your creative muscles and learn from our team of experts while helping to make life a little easier for your fellow students.
You'll write 25 blog articles for Campus Guides: 10 school-specific, 10 general post-secondary & 5 city-specific articles.
You'll review & make editorial suggestions on existing articles to help us make sure what we're sharing is accurate.
We’re open to students from any school, but we’re especially interested in those who attend or can write about:
- Alberta University of the Arts, Bishops University, Brandon University, Brescia University College, Brock University, Capilano University, Carleton University, Concordia University, Emily Carr University of Art & Design, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Lakehead University, Laurentian University, Laval University, Memorial University, Thompson Rivers University.
- Algonquin College, Cambrian College, Centennial College, Fleming College, Lethbridge College, Medicine Hat College, Michener Institute of Education at UHN, Niagara College, Norquest College, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Northern College, Northwestern Polytechnic.
You’ll be provided with:
- A clear, detailed outline of expectations, tasks and deliverables.
- Examples of the content we’re looking for, and templates and resources to help you create your own.
- Access to support and guidance from the project lead by email and video chat.
- The 55 Rush team will be providing optional workshops related to career planning and leadership skills, where you’ll also have the opportunity to meet fellow students working on your project.
