DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information.
  2. Establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.
  3. Writing press releases and other media communications to promote clients.
  4. Planning or directing the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder views of the organization's agenda and accomplishments.
  5. Studying the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.
  6. Preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders' reports, for internal and external audiences.
  7. Updating and maintaining Web content.
  8. Conferring with managers to identify trends and group interests and providing advice on business decisions.


Deliverables
  1. Mo-Dynamics HR and Optimization Consulting is seeking a Media Relations Practicum Student  to be responsible for building and maintaining a positive image for our company. You will be in charge of establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups by writing press releases and other media communications, responding to requests for information and press conferences.
  2. To be successful in this role, you will need a deep understanding of consumer marketing. You will also need excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in handling a press conference is also an advantage.

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:

  • Public Relations
  • Any GPT knowledge (Bonus)

Again, students can complete this project without any of the prior knowledge listed here. Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.
