We work to unleash the leadership that is within each of us toward fighting for racial, economic, and environmental justice.FIF is affiliated with Faith in Action.Faith in Florida – Fund Development Analyst InternFaith in Florida’s Fund Development Analyst intern will have the opportunity to assist in the management of the organization’s donor databases. This position would strengthen Faith in Florida’s ability to develop and raise money from donors within all of Florida.He or she will be committed to getting results in a fast-paced environment and able to handle diverse challenges.Learning Objectives:Gain experience in management and analytical skills in the non-profit sector.Understand the methods involved in the fund development process of a non-profit organizationGain working knowledge of spreadsheet-based data manipulation, formulas, and basic modeling techniques.Job Responsibilities:Conducting research and track previous individual, foundation, and corporate donorsProduce a report that captures the funding opportunities that exist within Florida.Drawing on research and interviews, this internship would identify the trends and priorities of philanthropic institutions.Tracking and evaluate development effortsAssist internal staff with projects as assigned;Perform miscellaneous office duties as assignedDesired Outcome:Looking for students that will research into previous donors and develop a plan to reengage with these donors as well as new prospects. We have some ideas of where we would like to go but we need to make sure that we consider all available options before making a decision. Our specific need is an outline of our industry’s expansion opportunities through a location analysis. This report should include an optimal location recommendation list. To consider: which markets align with our current one? Where are there donors that we have yet to reach? What are the pros and cons to expanding our operations? What potential social justice areas can we move our work to?We would like this to be partnered with some primary data collection; surveys and research into our present and future donors to gather insights into future funding.
