Working at PopIn was an interesting experience, the work was independent and challenging, and had a lot of freedom to go with it. It was a great opportunity to apply my skills in a real-world setting and deliver something end-to-end with full accountability. I appreciated the flexibility and the chance to work at my own pace while still making a meaningful contribution.

Had a great time working with the team, they are very organized and have fast communication. I was able to gain lots of practical experience and learn a ton along the way.

Working with Shabs B on this project was a great experience. One of the things I appreciated most was that whenever I got stuck, Shabs B was always there to help, providing guidance and solutions that kept the project moving forward. His support made a significant difference in overcoming challenges efficiently. He was proactive in addressing issues, ensuring tasks were completed on time while maintaining a high standard of work. His ability to collaborate, share insights, and adapt to project requirements played a key role in the project's success. My experience with this project was not positive. I met with Sheb to understand the scope, and he asked me to lead, saying I had enough knowledge. I worked alone, which limited collaboration but was manageable. From the start, I clarified that there were two target populations: attendees and program organizers. He chose attendees and asked me to focus on sign-up, finding matches, and connecting with matches. I developed a usability test plan, conducted six interviews, and uncovered key insights, some issues were addressed immediately, like removing the confusing QR code. Midway, while I was coding the data, he pushed me to shift focus to event organizers, which required a new usability test, five more interviews, and additional analysis far beyond the 60-hour project scope. With Riipen’s support, I maintained my boundaries, despite his increasing pressure and poor treatment. He also demanded to see how I coded data, though I had already shared this with Ribbon, and it wasn’t part of my deliverables. At the end, I submitted a detailed usability test plan, a comprehensive report, and a PowerPoint presentation. When I called to offer a walkthrough, he hung up the phone on me, which was unacceptable. Overall, this was a difficult experience, but I’m grateful to Riipen for their guidance, and I learned valuable lessons about setting boundaries and handling challenging situations.

Working at Popin has been a valuable experience. The mentorship and regular check-ins have provided consistent guidance and support. I've seen a noticeable improvement in my marketing skills, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow in such a collaborative environment.
