Canadore College's first-semester Practical Nursing and Personal Support Worker students are seeking opportunities to practice academic and vocational communication skills. They are developing generic skills in researching, organizing, reframing, analyzing, writing, and presenting information.

Learners, who are a mix of domestic and international students, will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.

Deliverables are negotiable and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization. 

Some final project deliverables might include the following: 

1. A slideshow or video-taped presentation on key findings and recommendations
2. A short informal report outlining their introductory-level research, analysis, insights, and recommendations
3. A social media or blog post written from their perspective
4. A request letter
