Learners will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the duration of the project, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools and/or in-person site visits.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization. 


Some final project deliverables might include: 

  1. A 15-30 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
  2. A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations
  3. An introduction to a solid group of Supply Chain students eligible for future employment.

Project Examples

Student-consultants collaborate with organizations on supply chain issues and opportunities. They assess the problems, research alternatives, complete the analysis and present the recommendations. Examples of past projects include:


  • Identification of supply chain challenges and recommendations for improvement.
  • Developing transportation solutions including improved dispatch methods.
  • Optimizing warehouse layout and identifying process improvements, including Material Handling Equipment.
  • Researching sustainable packaging alternatives.
  • Investigating sustainability opportunities: Solar, Electrical Vehicles, Carbon Capture, Waste Reduction and Waste Management solutions.
  • Evaluating implications of international sourcing.
  • Creating total cost comparisons for supply alternatives.
  • Proposing supplier management strategies for cost reduction.
