Students
Phase 1 – Project Plan: Students will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare a detailed plan for completion of the project.
Phase 2 – Project Execution: Students will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.
Phase 3 - Outcome - Report and Presentation: Students will submit a detailed report on the outcomes of the project. Teams will also present this in the last class. Organization representative(s) are invited to attend these presentations.
- 10-page comprehensive report + appendices thoroughly detailing the group findings
- 20-minute presentation followed by Q&A

Project Examples
Requirements
MBA student-consultants will research your company, your industry, and your competitors in order to conduct a thorough analysis of your organizations health compared to industry averages.
Project examples include, but are not limited to;
- Industry Analysis - Defining the industry, identifying main competitors, analyzing industry characteristics (level of competition, barriers of entry, monopoly, etc.).
- Strategy - Identifying and discussing company strategies, in comparison with your main competitors. Assessing the company's current competitive advantage
- Profitability and Risk Analysis - Computing different ratios from the financial statements you provide to explain trends of your organization vs. your competitors.
- Assess earnings quality - Analyzing source(s) of earnings: specific item(s) and/or factors (internal and/or external to your organization and your competitors) affecting your organization's current profitability.
NDAs can be signed by student teams on a case-by-case basis with organizations. There is also no requirement for exact financial data to be provided, estimates and falsified numbers will work for the purpose of the project.
