Learners in this program/experience will:  Experiment with the core components of digital and public writing  Analyze examples of digital and public writing  Create a platform (content writing, produce writing that addresses client needs)  Understand the impact of the genre  Complete a variety of digital and public writing projects What can our learners do for your company? Learners in groups of 2-3 will work with your company to identify your needs, and craft compelling, persuasive social media posts suitable for a variety of platforms, based on their in-depth research and analysis. Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to:  blogging written content creation produce short video based content on various platforms

Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience are learning how to understanding the experiences of emotions of those in positions of victimhood. Students are often completing this course in order to move into positions in the criminal justice system. They will complete readings, weekly written assignments and evaluations. The semester culminates with an oral presentation on a topic related to victimhood in terms of impact on victims, and efforts to prevent victimization. In previous terms these topics have ranged from presentations on PTSD, domestic violence and children and youth services. What can our learners do for your company? Learners in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and create original material that can be used in your organization's social media or outreach efforts. For example, this could be a social media post, a brief blog post, a brochure, etc.
