Details

The primary focus for the student will be:

Creating grant funding application packages for Canadian entrepreneurs, start-ups, and not-for-profits/charities.

In addition, there will be opportunities along the way to research improvements in our processes, such as:

  • Grant Research: Identify new funding and grant opportunities and write proposals.
  • Business Planning: Develop or refine a business plan for start-up companies.
  • Launch Strategy: Develop an implementation plan for entering a new market; develop a go-to-market strategy for new products or services.
  • Competitor Analysis: Complete a full customer, competitor, market, and environmental analysis
  • Marketing: Complete a marketing strategy review; design a new marketing strategy (product, place, price, and promotion); conduct overhaul of our branding or communication strategy.
Deliverables

Student will gain experience through completed projects related to:

Research, Data Analysis, Client Interviews, Business Consultation, Revenue Strategies, Grant Research, Grant Writing, RFP/Proposal Writing, Industry Research, Business Plans, and Project Claim Management.

Other duties the student may complete could include:

  • Create presentation decks and assist with presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Develop a step-by-step action plan, including timelines and an estimated budget for implementing any new model(s).
  • Begin implementation of any new model(s) within the available internship timeframe.
  • Ensure the tasks are transitioned back to the company with complete instructions regarding deliverable activities and next steps.

We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools: Riipen messaging, email, and Google Meet/Zoom calls.

For your mentoring plan, we will collaborate on the overall goals and objectives, then break them down into weekly deliverables. We will connect weekly to discuss the process and any outcomes.
