Education Initiative Overview
Digital Human Library, WorldPlay VidFlex, and the International Indigenous Speakers Bureau are coming together to help elevate Indigenous voices, perspectives and insights in primarily non-Indigenous spaces, recognizing that Indigenous world views and perspectives are a tremendous resource for education, potential solutions to sustainability, and possibilities that the world needs now.
Together we will be offering Canadian education institutions and the corporate sector access to IISB Knowledge Nuggets*. Knowledge Nuggets (KN) are short guided educational videos created by Indigenous knowledge keepers, storytellers, and experts intended to assist educational institutions and the corporate sector with understanding Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, and history in ways that follow a more Indigenous way of teaching and learning. The KN also include program/ course materials that provide learners with multiple opportunities for ongoing, guided, deep learning.
Students will receive personalized training to begin the project. Weekly meetings will be held online to answer questions, provide support, and engage in feedback conversations. Additional support and communication will take place via email.
