Clive Forrester has a PhD in Applied Linguistics with a special focus on courtroom discourse. Clive has taught courses in general linguistics, sociolinguistics. negotiation, and discourse analysis. In addition to these courses Clive has over fifteen years experience in the teaching of undergraduate composition and academic writing as well as technical writing, for a variety of students ranging the full span of writing competence and across the curriculum from the humanities to the sciences. Clive has been the secretary for the Society for Caribbean Linguistics (SCL) since 2014 and is currently engaged in research on communicative issues faced by Caribbean witnesses in Toronto courtrooms.
