Climate Change & Sustainability Youth Policy Demands Lobbying
In September 2023, a Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) was hosted in Canada. LCOYs are a conference framework from the UNFCCC global youth consistency YOUNGO that invites youth and youth-led entities in a country to come together to build capacity and make policy demands ahead of each year's United Nations Conference on Climate Change (the yearly Conference of Parties for the UNFCCC). Typically these demands are not intentionally distributed within the country the LCOY is hosted in. This project is focused on sharing the youth policy demands from LCOY Canada 2023 with relevant policy makers, decision makers, and groups. The policy demands are focused on the topics of the conference: Low-carbon energy, climate finance, sustainable cities, biodiversity, the ocean, the arctic, food and agriculture, climate justice, and youth-led politics.
Email Marketing Coordinator
The main goal of the Email Marketing Coordinator intern's project, within the first 80 hours, is to establish the foundational elements for email marketing at Sports After 6. This includes: Email Marketing Strategy Development: Develop a basic understanding of email marketing best practices and create a preliminary email marketing strategy that aligns with the company's mission and goals. The goal is to have a clear plan for how email marketing will support the company's objectives. Initial Campaign Setup: Set up the selected email marketing platform, design a sample email template, and create content for an introductory email campaign. The goal is to have a functioning email marketing system ready for use. List Building and Segmentation: Begin building an email subscriber list by collecting contacts and develop a basic system for segmenting the list. The goal is to have an initial set of subscribers and a plan for organizing them. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance of the sample email campaign, tracking key metrics like open rates and click-through rates. The goal is to gain insights into the effectiveness of the initial campaign and identify areas for improvement. Compliance Check: Ensure that email marketing practices are compliant with relevant regulations, such as the CAN-SPAM Act. The goal is to operate within legal boundaries. Knowledge Transfer: Transfer knowledge and skills to other team members to ensure they can continue email marketing efforts after the intern's role concludes. The goal is to build internal capacity for ongoing email marketing activities. In summary, the main goal of this project is to initiate and establish the fundamental components of an email marketing program at Sports After 6. It's about getting the company started in the world of email marketing, with the necessary tools, strategies, and initial campaigns in place. This sets the stage for future email marketing efforts and audience engagement.
