# of students we are looking for: 4 Short Desc: As part of LEVEL UP: Multidisciplinary Projects , we will like 4 students to help optimize our company's SEO (search engine optimization). The total max hours will be 80 hrs per student, paid by LEVEL UP: Multidisciplinary Projects program. Detailed Desc: We will require 4 students as a group effort to help us resolve the following SEO errors. URL too long Issue. Description If the URLs are longer than 75 characters, this may prevent some browsers from processing them correctly. On top of that, it will be easier for search engines to crawl URLs with an optimal length of up to 75 characters. Duplicate description meta tags: Duplicate description meta tags were found on your website's pages. As a result, you may miss the opportunity to use more relevant keywords to describe each individual page. Redirect issue: Redirect landing pages return a 4XX or 5XX response code. These pages were either deleted or are inaccessible due to server problems. As a result, search engine robots are not able to crawl such pages, and visitors who see an error in the browser will most likely leave your site. No inbound links: Some pages of the website don't have any internal links pointing to them. Search engines can only find and index such pages if they are indicated in the XML sitemap or via external links. Your website visitors cannot access such pages from other pages of the site. images too big: This issue is triggered if the images you use on your website are too large. WORDPRESS PROJECT - Help us build community business directory website
Due to covid 19, a lot of businesses are struggling. Some may have opened, some may have been closed. We are trying to create a community-based business listing website, where a business can list their business for free and we will help advertise it organically via SEO. This will be similar to yelp, without costing an arm and a leg for the business. Moreover, this will be focused on the community rather, Canada-wide. Our team is proposing to build this via WORDPRESS as this is easy CMS to work with. We will need a WordPress developer/customizer to help us with this project. We are a startup and we are trying to acquire some grants from BC, therefore, this will be unpaid, but we will try our best to secure some money for the students. However, this project will be great on your resume and will help you get fast started on how development works, business decisions are made, etc.

# of students we are looking for: 4 Short Desc: As part of LEVEL UP: Multidisciplinary Projects , we will like 4 students to help create 80 social media posts (20/student) . The total max hours will be 80 hrs per student, paid by LEVEL UP: Multidisciplinary Projects program. Detailed Desc: Perform Keyword/hashtags analysis to determine relevant search terms for the social media postings. Content Calendar Execution: Schedule and timely deployment of all our social media content to drive maximum traffic to our site. (Optional) create image content for the social media post (or we can supply). Working with industry tools and programs such as (Buffer, Hootsuite, etc) We will provide training and supervision during your 80 commitment. Weโre excited to work with students who can help us not only brainstorm but also execute a strategy. This is a great project for students to put their digital marketing education to use.
