Youth Empowerment Workshop Development
The main objective of this project is to develop and implement programs and workshops tailored for youth in the community at our safe space. These programs aim to empower youth, address their needs and interests, and provide opportunities for skill development, personal growth, and community engagement. Additionally, the project seeks to foster collaboration among students in brainstorming ideas, designing workshops, researching funding opportunities, and connecting with the community to ensure that the workshops are relevant, impactful, and inclusive.
Creating Graphic Design Assets
Our company is new and has no graphic design assets. We are looking to create and develop a brand book. This may involve: Creating a new branding guide Meeting with the project manager to evaluate the choices made for the branding book to ensure it is aligned with company branding goals, and making any necessary revisions. Designing and presenting thumbnails for design assets (banner ad, illustration, infographic, etc) based on the branding guide to be included in a proposal and presented to the project manager. Executing the full designs for each branding asset using Canva, based on the approved thumbnails. Creating multiple thumbnails with different color schemes based on the colors in the branding guide.
Online Website Design
Our company offers a range of artistic services and products. We hope to gain an understanding of the features and design that our target market would expect in our website. We would like to collaborate with students to produce a design prototype informed by real customer input and feedback that we can bring to a developer for implementation. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting user interviews and research on our industry, our target market, and desired website features. Designing a wireframe prototype for our website and mapping out user interactions. Documenting the design process and any additional insights that emerge. Testing the prototype with customers and surveying for feedback. Refining design ideas with input from experts and customers. Prototyping multiple versions of a design that includes the desired website features.
Market Research
Our company provides production, branding and marketing strategy services. We want to better understand our target market and the overall market, so we can uniquely position ourselves within our industry. We would like to collaborate with students to conduct market research. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our companyโs values, products and services. Researching our target market and market potential. Researching the industry and competitive landscape. Recommending strategies to improve our positioning, brand, products and services. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending strategies to differentiate ourselves from our competition.

The primary goal is to equip young participants with essential programming skills and software proficiency, thereby empowering them for future educational and career opportunities in the tech field. This project addresses the growing demand for tech-savvy individuals and seeks to bridge the digital skills gap among youth in the community. By focusing on foundational programming languages and widely-used software tools, the program will provide participants with practical knowledge that can be directly applied in real-world scenarios. The project will involve researching effective teaching methodologies, identifying key learning outcomes, and creating a structured curriculum that aligns with industry standards. The ultimate aim is to foster a supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence in technology.
