Non-Profit Fundraising - Grant Writing
We are looking for assistance in with fundraising. This primarily includes completing grant applications that support our mission. This project will include: Develop a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for our project and funding. Identify potential sponsors and funding opportunities that are a good fit for our organization and project. Interpreting to the best of your abilities grant calls and application guides, to determine our eligibility and what we can apply for. Improve the clarity and persuasiveness of our non-profit organization's grant proposal writing.
Non-Profit - Outreach
This project will include: Brainstorming potential partnerships or methods for engagement with the local community Maintaining a calendar for outreach events Working closely with community partners to plan and execute various outreach events Coordinate and execute tabling events to engage with individuals and share information Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing materials
Community Outreach Specialist - HOUSE Canada
HOUSE Canada is a federally incorporated non-profit dedicated to research, advocacy, and development of affordable housing for post-secondary students and young people. Our goal is to create quality, community-oriented and perpetually affordable housing that is by and for the communities we serve. HOUSE works with partners in the housing sector, post-secondary institutions, student unions and government to accomplish this. HOUSE is a member-owned and controlled organization, made up of local self-governing affordable housing committees (such as the York University Affordable Housing Committee), mission-aligned organizations and student union locals. We are creating housing by community, for the community. HOUSE has a progressive workplace culture that provides flexibility and makes staff well-being a priority, while balancing these with accomplishing the mission of the organization and holding ourselves accountable for our areas of responsibility.
