The students in this course examine the workings of, and uses of, trust in a variety of settings, including person to person, person to computer (AI or otherwise) and computer to computer. As such, they would benefit from a wide variety of projects that stretch them and allow them to show their understanding of how trust, trust management and trust systems can help companies succeed in entirely novel contexts. Projects can include market research, social development, website and interface development, blockchain applications and civic engagement and democracy applications and research.
