We are producing a documentary about a hip hop artist and would like to set up a website to promote the project. The student (s) will assist in the conception and design of the website to ensure it is user-friendly up completion. Student(s) should be prepared to: Create 2-3 design options Set up the website and ensure it functions for both desktop and mobile Ensure the website meets any privacy, cookie policies, etc. Knowledge of how to make the site interactive, in particular for merchandise purchases and music downloads Ensure the website meets accessibility standards
Application Development - Level Up
Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for (1 | 2 | 3) computer science students or teams. The primary focus for the students will be: creating a software application for our media database. We have a number of lists on an Excel spreadsheet containing our media contacts with their emails, position, outlet (we would also like to include their social media handles). Right now, we copy and paste the columns and send them out through Gmail. We would like to set up our own database software that houses them in a coordinated way and allows us to send out media release to specific groups in one blast. Application Development - Selecting the best technologies for creating the application or feature (i.e. Media Release distribution function); creating a fully-functioning application to house our media database. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Application Development - For the student(s) to create a fully functioning application. Health Promotion Campaign Plan - COVID-19 Vaccination in the Black Community
Our organization has a client that wants to further their efforts to increase awareness about vaccination in the Black community in Toronto through a social media campaign. We would like to work with students to develop a campaign that successfully raises awareness and changes behaviour around this health topic in the Black community. In collaboration with key contacts at our organization, students will design and carry out a social media campaign strategy around this health topic. Identify groups which this campaign will target. Identify ideal outcomes and KPIs. Include the latest and most accurate data and information. Design social media infographics, create videos, and viral campaigns. Assist in graphics/branding for the campaign
Website SEO & Optimization
We would like a website analysis and the SEO improved for our organization and domain authority. The website is built through Squarespace. The student(s) will access the backend of the website to add relevant tags to content and highlight keywords for search optimization. The objective is to increase the domain authority for the website and ensure that we are maximizing the SEO capabilities. The website also needs to meet accessibility requirements: https://www.aoda.ca/new-aoda-requirement-for-ontario-websites/ The student (s) will review the guidelines and ensure the website meets the standards, and if not, complete the tasks to ensure it meets compliance. We would like to work with student(s) to make sure our website is meeting the standards in privacy, data and SEO. Students should be prepared to: Conduct a needs analysis to determine what is needed to improve our website with keywords, tags, etc. Create a plan of action to improve our SEO and create any privacy, cookie policies, etc. Provide training on updating and maintaining the site.
