Marketing and Sales Project
Square Solar Inc. is different from other solar energy companies, we focus on decentralized solar energy systems. We encourage DIYer self-built solar energy systems to power devices with less energy such as cellphones and computers. With much less initial investment and a simplified solar power system, we make solar power affordable and therefore accessible for the mainstream customer. The proposed venture is an innovative puzzle-like solar panel allowing customers to install their own solar system of any size and shape to fulfill their various energy needs. By using special square-shaped panel connectors, tiles can connect seamlessly with each other without extra wires, making the tiles more stable in relation to their power output compared to existing panels

New Product Design Insights & Prototype
To expand our product offering with a new ergonomically-designed line, we need insights into how we can redesign existing popular equipment and what products have the most design potential. We believe this project will require: Researching existing products and market potential. Defining current needs and limitations for potential products. Developing a prototype of a recommended product design. We are interested in gaining insights on popular products that could be redesigned to be more usable and comfortable and included in our new ergonomic line. We would also like a prototype of a single product to be included in our new line. The final deliverables include: A report on the research, findings, and general design recommendations for ergonomic products. A prototype of the recommended design for a single product to be included in our new line.

The proposed venture is an innovative puzzle-like solar panel allowing customers to install their own solar system of any size and shape to fulfill their various energy needs. By using special square-shaped panel connectors, tiles can connect seamlessly with each other without extra wires. The system has standardized connectors and standardized modules that simplify the installation process making it easy to use and truly, the first do-it-yourself solar-powered energy system. We would like a new website for our organization. it is a service website to record customer purchase, warranty history, and the little program to help customers for determining how many solar tiles is needed in their own solar energy project and also turn it to purchase order. We would like to work with students to develop a new website for us. Students should be prepared to: Conduct a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable. Create a design proposal including mock-ups, and timeline. Build a fully functioning website. Provide training on updating and maintaining the site.
