Details

The Pashmina Heritage and Empowerment Plan aims to create a comprehensive strategy for Gloria International Inc. to support poverty reduction and cultural heritage preservation through the sale of pashmina products. The project focuses on empowering artisans by integrating a fair-trade approach and promoting sustainable livelihoods. Learners will assess the current market and socio-economic landscape of pashmina artisans, identifying challenges such as poverty and cultural loss. The goal is to develop a plan that positions COCHIC as a leader in using fashion for social change, ensuring that traditional craftsmanship is preserved while improving the economic conditions of artisan communities. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their knowledge in market analysis, social enterprise models, and stakeholder engagement.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a Market and Cultural Landscape Analysis that identifies challenges faced by pashmina artisans. Additionally, learners will create an Impact Plan Structure, detailing a Social Enterprise Model, Cultural Heritage Preservation initiatives, and Economic Empowerment Goals. The final deliverable is a Stakeholder and Partnership Outreach guideline, aimed at connecting with potential partners to amplify the initiative's impact.
