Analysis of Supply and Demand of Carbon credits in Canada's Environmental Trading System(TIER,CFR,BC LCFS and Credits)
The goal of this project is to analyze the supply and demand dynamics within Canadas Environmental Trading Systems,(TIER,CFR,BC LCFS,BC OBPS) focusing on key fundamental drivers such as market participants activities, operational efficiencies, technology adoption and government policies using current,near-term and long term horizons. The analysis should also consider and speculate on potential future drivers and their effects on carbon pricing and trends. This project aims to provide valuable insights for Strom Futures and its clients, enabling them to forecast price movements and make informed decisions. The project will involve data collection, statistical analysis, and the creation of a comprehensive report summarizing the findings. Key tasks include: - Collecting and analyzing data on current supply and demand drivers in the Environmental Trading System. - Identifying and evaluating key drivers, including market participants, technologies, industry operations/trends and government policies. - Forecasting future trends and potential impacts on carbon pricing. - Compiling findings into a detailed report with actionable insights.
Growth and penetration into new Canadian market for start up Carbon Credit company.
The main goal of this project is to create a strategy for growing Strom Futures into Compliance Carbon Offset markets within Canada(Ontario, Alberta, and BC). This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Analyzing the current market and assessing the potential opportunities for growth. -Clear path to navigating the provincial legislation and regulations regarding the Compliance Carbon credit markets - Developing a comprehensive plan for entering the ON and BC markets. -Developing a comprehensive plan for growing our market share in AB - Researching and identifying potential partners and customers. - Developing a marketing strategy to reach new customers. - Creating a budget and timeline for the project. - Testing the strategy and making improvements based on feedback. -Research the feasibility of providing Voluntary Carbon offsets as a service in the Canadian market over the next 3 year time line. PROJECT DELIVERABLES By the end of the project, students should demonstrate: - Understanding of the BC,ON and AB market and potential opportunities for growth. - Identification of potential partners and customers. - Development of a comprehensive plan for entering new markets. - Creation of a marketing strategy to reach new customers. - Creation of a budget and timeline for the project. - Testing of the strategy and making improvements based on feedback.
