Employee Personality Analysis

Our company has hundreds of employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We would like to collaborate with students to understand how personality tests can be used to improve our human resources (HR) practices and gain recommendations for their implementation. This will involve several different steps: Conducting background research on the personality tests and factors affecting teamwork. Assessing what personality combinations make for a high-functioning team. Analyzing how existing teams can work more cohesively, based on their personality types. Recommending areas of improvement in our HR practices. Surveying employees about the workplace culture. Defining what type of personality profile would be ideal for a set of new hires.

New Employee Onboarding Plan

One of the most important aspects of starting a position in a new company is the onboarding process. In addition to making us a more compelling company to work with than our competition, we want our onboarding process to promote our company culture to accelerate the learning curve of working for us and increase our employee retention and company structure. Instead of conducting onboarding in a 100% face-to-face setting, we hope to include a transition to an online course that will introduce employees to their roles, and show them all of our start-up resources. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Examine the current onboarding process for new hires to identify what should be included in the onboarding process including forms, documentation and information. Discuss our onboarding practices with current employees to determine their effectiveness and where improvement is needed. Research our own as well as competitors’ current onboarding practices. Research which onboarding practices are best at reaching employees and making a lasting impact. Create a report detailing all research findings and a new onboarding plan for our company. Reporting on cost estimates and allocating funds in the most efficient way. Establish a logical structure and order for the onboarding process, divided into “segments” or “modules” and their content. Research platforms or websites to automate the onboarding process. Create a segment specifically introducing new employees to our workplace culture and values.

Recruitment Video Production

In recent years, talent acquisition has become an increasingly difficult obstacle for many companies, including our business. Setting ourselves apart is crucial to attracting top talent, which we hope to accomplish in part by a vibrant, compelling recruitment video. Through this project, students will script, produce and edit a video that showcases our organization's strong culture and values, which will encourage candidates to apply. Tasks may involve: Brainstorming various ideas for the video structure and content, and creating a storyboard for what the video will look like. Creating a compelling script promoting our company culture and values. Putting together a proposal for (whoever is running the project)including the storyboard and script. Meeting with (whoever is running the project) to discuss the proposal, and making any changes necessary. Filming and editing the final video.

Employee Recognition Program

Our company has multiple employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We want to better recognize their hard work and show our appreciation. We would like to collaborate with students to develop an employee recognition program based on a Marvel themed program. The employee will be voted on by there pears for the strongest attribute or improvement for the month. Thors hammer will be given to the employee for the month to hold on to as well as a suitable token of appreciation. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Defining objectives for our employee recognition program. Researching successful recognition programs. Recommending suitable ways to recognize our employees. Developing a plan to track the program’s effectiveness. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending ways to promote our program and raise awareness.
