Strategic Marketing and Marketing Plan - 2025 Winter

Your organization has products or services requiring a marketing plan. Up to eight student teams will spend 8 weeks conducting research and developing a Marketing Plan in the form of three deliverables: A situation analysis , researching your product/service and producing a report covering the external business environment you operate or plan to operate within. Segmenting, targeting, and positioning breaking down available customer groups, ones that may be attractive to target, and how potential customers perceive the marketplace. Marketing mix plan including aligning your product/service with customer needs, pricing analysis and recommendations, appropriate channels of communication, and promotional strategy.
Early Childhood Education and Care Summer Internship
ECL1
The student: Third Year Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership degree student. The Internship: 420 mentored hours in an Early Years Program or related agency. Typically, from May-Aug (14 Weeks) Opportunities for students to: Pursue a placement experience according to future careers in the Early Childhood Education/Care sector and/or future academic interests and goals. Students will apply strategies to support continuous learning & promote effective pedagogical practices in an EY setting Refine leadership competencies using the College of Early Childhood Educators Code of Ethics and Standards , and the Whole Leadership Framework (McCormick Centre). Work closely with an experienced EY professional.
Co-op based Experience in Human Resources Management
This experience is designed for learners who are developing a comprehensive understanding of business operations and strategic planning. Participants will apply their knowledge of functional business areas such as management, marketing, and human resources to real-world projects. They will utilize data analysis, financial reporting, and project management skills to assess and enhance organizational performance. Learners will also explore the influence of organizational culture and external factors on business success, and develop strategies that align with legal, ethical, and economic frameworks. The Human Resources Management Co-op work term is sequenced for a winter/summer Co-op (minimum 420 hours total). Students are available to engage in an employer-lead project/Co-op as early as January 6, 2025 and can continue as late as August 22, 2025. Full-time hours or slightly less is required and will be dependent on project scope and student availability. Student co-ops can occur in-person, virtually or a hybrid and will count towards a co-op credit. Co-ops must be remunerated.
Co-op based Experience in Business - Management
This experience is designed for learners who have developed a comprehensive understanding of business functions such as management, marketing, human resources, and accounting. Participants will apply their knowledge to real-world projects, focusing on data analysis, strategic planning, and operational execution. By engaging with industry professionals, learners will enhance their ability to assess organizational performance, develop business plans, and implement effective marketing and project management strategies. This experience aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application in a business environment. The Business Commerce Co-op work term is sequenced for a 4 and 8 month Co-op. Students are available to engage in an employer-lead project/Co-op as early as January 6, 2025 and can continue as late as August 22, 2025. Full-time hours or slightly less is required and will be dependent on project scope and student availability. Student co-ops can occur in-person, virtually or a hybrid and will count towards a co-op credit. Co-ops must be remunerated.
Office Administrations Health Services (Medical) Work Placement
Fanshawe College’s Office Administration Health Services program offers employers a unique opportunity to bring on students who are eager to develop their professional skills in healthcare (medical) administration. These students, through a structured (unpaid) work placement, are learning to excel in managing office workflows, optimizing communication systems, and maintaining health records within medical settings. Our students are trained to manage administrative tasks, coordinate office communications, and implement health records systems—all within tight deadlines and priorities. As part of their learning objectives, students will gain practical experience by taking on real-world projects that align with your organization’s goals. This experience helps them develop critical skills in office technologies, document production, and confidentiality in health services.

Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the term, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. The Law Clerks Co-op work term is sequenced for a 4 and 8 month Co-op. Students are available to engage in an employer-lead project/Co-op as early as January 6, 2025 and can continue as late as April 25, 2025. Full-time hours or slightly less is required and will be dependent on project scope and student availability. Virtual Project Opportunity: Bring on one or more student/(s) from Fanshawe College in the Office Administration - Executive (OAE) Co-op Endorsed Diploma to conduct a program-related project/Co-op based experience. The two year OAE Diploma program is designed to offer opportunities in a variety of office support disciplines. These students are equipped to work in diverse team settings, assist with projects and support, and contribute to business solutions. Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the term connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. The Co-op is sequenced for a 4 month Co-op experience. Students are available to engage in an employer-lead project/Co-op as early as January 6, 2025 and can continue as late as April 25, 2025 Full-time hours or slightly less are required and will be dependent on project scope and student availability. Applied Projects
This experience is designed for learners enrolled in project management and supply chain management courses at Ontario College. Participants have a foundational understanding of project planning, execution, and supply chain optimization. They are equipped to apply these skills to real-world projects, focusing on efficient resource allocation, process improvement, and strategic planning. Learners can leverage their classroom knowledge to tackle industry-specific challenges, providing innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Quality Assurance Excellence Project

This experience is designed for learners in a Quality Assurance Management program, who have developed a comprehensive understanding of quality management principles and tools. Participants are equipped to apply their theoretical knowledge and practical skills to real-world projects, focusing on ensuring quality in various processes and systems. The experience aims to bridge classroom learning with industry applications, enabling learners to effectively implement and manage quality systems across different sectors.
W25 Improving Customer Experience To Enhance Customer Engagement
Fanshawe College students in this program understand customer experience design through Customer Experience (CX) research, maximizing journey mapping, measuring the CX journey, and how to deploy direct and interactive omni-channel (multiple) marketing campaigns using customer intelligence and social media analytics. This project will involve groups of 4-5 students in teams to develop a new customer experience for a product or service. The objectives are to apply the course material and develop an appreciation for the process that a Customer Experience Specialist or Marketing Manager goes through in developing a new customer experience plan. Each team will play the part of a customer experience company which encompasses all the CX tools and will be pitching a new customer experience to your organization. Additional details regarding the live client work will be discussed in class.
